  • Hi everyone! Over the last week I've been working on a very detailed pixel macrame tutorial. I made sure to include how much macrame cord you need to measure, basic pixel macrame techniques, a design scheme and everything else you need to make a pixel macrame wall hanging from scratch!☀️ Macrame pixel art is very fun and there are no limits to your imagination!
    Let me know in the comments if I missed something or if you have any questions. Tag @woodori.studio on Instagram to share your creations with me, I would love to see them!☺️

    Confession time: I designed my own pixel macrame thingy and just looked at how to do the base knot and switching rows and directions…. Oh boy is my technique interesting LOL
    I just skipped ahead a bit to see how you switch colors, expecting something not too different from my way, but oh sheesh am I doing it wrong! -__-)
    But as long as the front looks ok, I’ll survive XD
    Thank you for this video, I’ll follow it from now on and not the mess I was doing so far….

      That reminds me of only looking into a product manual after something breaks down😂 Bur honestly, there is not really a right or wrong way in macrame. As you said, as long as the front looks fine, it works! Beautifying the back of the tapestry is something that I came to after hours of learning and experimenting because I am a perfectionism freak🙂 At the end of the day it is a matter of personal preference. Good luck with your projects and let me know if you need any help!

    Nice video Thanks for sharing.
    For the measurements, do you calculate using 8cm for each double half hitch knot?

    • @woodoristudio
      @woodoristudio  2 года назад

      Glad you enjoyed it!😊exactly, this number will differ slightly depending on how tight you make you knots and the thickness of the cord you use. If you are interested to learn more, I recommend you watch my tutorial about how to plan such projects and measure cord precisely. Added the link to the description of this video

    hi. I love this project and want to create my own. question where did you get the triangle? or what size is the dowel I need to use. Thanks!

    • @woodoristudio
      @woodoristudio  2 года назад

      Hi! The triangle is a product from Rico Design, it comes in set of 2 frames and I used a smaller one. It is around 25 cm wide:) Good luck with your project!

    Bonjour ! I like ! But what is the length of the rope for the first row? Please and thanks for yours video

    • @woodoristudio
      @woodoristudio  2 года назад

      Bonjour! Whenever I make a few rows of the same colour, I cut the first rope approximately, because I will anyway need to add a new one at some place in these rows. In this video it is around 360 cm :)

    How do you bring your art into the pixelart app? :)

    • @woodoristudio
      @woodoristudio  2 года назад

      I try to reproduce it from scratch, but I think there are also websites where you can upload your image and convert it to pixels 🙂

    Would you be willing to share some more pixel patterns? I’ve mastered how to do them thanks to your tutorials but I can’t seem to get the patterns correct even though I watched your explanation video. 😑🥲

    • @woodoristudio
      @woodoristudio  2 года назад

      Of course! Can you explain a bit more what the hard part for you is? Is it about drawing the patterns, or maybe interpreting them? I will try my best to answer your questions in new videos😉 I am also working on a new website where I will provide free patterns, so stay tuned!

      @@woodoristudio I attempted to make a moon wall hanging following your tutorial, and it was looking great but halfway through I realised that it was very squashed, like a stretched version of what it was supposed to look like. Can’t figure out how this happened because when I’ve followed this wall hanging diy and the abstract one they turned out great! 🥲 But I’m so excited to learn that you’ll be sharing more patterns soon. Thanks for all the help ❤️

    • @woodoristudio
      @woodoristudio  2 года назад

      @@CM-ns1vs that happens because when we use pixel schemes, we assume that knots are perfectly square, which is not entirely correct. Depending on your technique they might be slightly or very much squashed rectangles, and that is where this general squashed effect is coming from. I will make a video about how you could fix that😌

      Not quite sure what you mean, the back of the hanging perhaps? You can see it at the end of the video when I cut off the remaining ends🙂

    What program was that?

    • @woodoristudio
      @woodoristudio  2 года назад +1

      I use Procreate for iPad to sketch the drawing and then pixilart.com to draw a scheme🙂
